The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my most recent experience at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I encountered behind its threshold was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

From the moment I entered , it was clear that hygiene was not a priority at Masterson’s . The ground was covered in grime , and a overpowering stench of stale beer and filthy restrooms suffused the entire venue . With a smell of a mixture of urine , putrefaction and sickness . The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and refuse that looked like it had accumulated over weeks.
